Snow!

This is our house this morning at about 6:30 a.m. We are running out of room for all the snow along side our walkways & driveway! This winter has been CRAZY! I can't believe how much snow has fallen this year. The forecast is clear for the entire weekend (for the first time in months), so everyone please pray it will stay that way & that the carwash will be super busy!

After walking this morning, I looked at our snow covered driveway & I thought of my sister in law, Peggy, saying that she thinks shoveling snow is therapeutic. I also thought it would be nice of me to shovel it for Len, so I grabbed the shovel & went to work. I usually have the attitude that I do enough manual labor inside the house, so I'm not touching the outside! But, it was kind of nice to be out there this morning in the dark, with a light snow falling to just think about things. My friend Jill's niece died Saturday at age 9 of stomach cancer & I was thinking about the amazing story of her passing that Jill had just told me on our walk. I can't imagine how difficult it would be to loose a child. I was also thinking about President Hinckley that just passed & about Thomas Monson becoming the prophet of the LDS church today. I'll never forget what an amazing friend he was to my Grandpa right to the end. He has been such a great example to our family of unconditional love. I'm excited for him. I have several friends that are pregnant or just had babies & it's such a joy to see the circle of life.

Anyway, I guess Peggy was right that shoveling this morning was therapeutic. Not that I'm planning on taking over that job- I have to make that statement loud & clear!!! haha! Luckily, Len & Noah do alot of great male bonding shoveling snow together, so I don't think I have to worry about that.
