A new adventure awaits

My family's carwash is hooking up with another carwash & will be changing over to a new name in a few weeks. It's kind of weird because it's been our family's business for so long & we've all put so much care, love & hard work into it. I'm happy for my parents in this economy to be lucky enough to have found such a wonderful opportunity, but it's also sad that they had to go looking! We will all miss the carwash. Everwhere we go with my parents, they are waving & saying hello to people. We will ask "who is that?", and 9 times out of 1o, they answer "a really good customer." It has been quite a legendary little business! We seriously were driving down the highway in Hawaii several years ago on vacation, and a guy driving a motorcycle passed us wearing one of our carwash t-shirts! My Dad knows most people by what kind of car they drive. We'll be talking about someone, and Len will have to tell my Dad "you know...the red, convertible BMW guy" and he'll be like "oh yah, him." It's pretty funny!

Len will continue working for the carwash & is registered to go back to school & finally finish his undergrad work. Yeah! He will cruise through it & be done in 2 semesters. I will loose my stay at home job, unfortunetely, but I have a really hard time getting much done with all the kids anyway. Plus, I'm also registered to go back to school & complete my graduate work. Pheww! It's going to be crazy! It's probably all for the best though. We are looking at new, creative ways to make up for the lost income, where I can still be home with our little munchkins!

It will be hard to see the sign, with our name on it, being taken down & replaced. I guess the best thing is to look forward & wish the new partnership & owners best of luck. Happy washing! Here's to new adventures! Click here for more info.

First food & first lie?

Naughty! We had a basket full of Hershey's chocolate kisses left over from the boys' birthday party, and I put them in the laundry room to save for treats in their easter baskets. When I went in yesterday I noticed the kisses were practically gone!!! Everyone denies that they emptied the basket. The day before I had caught Mack & Sam behind our chair & when I asked them what they were doing they said "nothing"! I made them show me their hands because I could tell they were hiding something. They had empty hands & I quickly peeked behind the chair & didn't see anything. They almost got away with it, but today when I was vacuuming I noticed shiny chocolate kisses wrappers stuffed down the vent behind the chair! There are ALOT of wrappers down there! Someone's got some expainin' to do!

Sam & Mack still insist they are innocent. When they are being so cute to their little sister it's hard to interrogate them.

Isabella had her first rice cereal today!!! We were planning on waiting until she's 6 months, but she was practically eating my face off when I was holding her & eating. She was definetely ready! She loved it!

She loved this little net teether thingy with a banana in it even better! She acted like a dog with a new bone! She was so excited!
