Is it just me...

or has anyone else noticed that EVERY episode of SuperNanny has twins in the family (usually boys!)???? Ahh!

Another Birthday Boy!

Mr. laid back is turning 7!

Our boys had the best birthday ever this year! My cousin, David, and his family came from Boise to visit & help with the birthday party. They have 2 boys too- Dawson & Aidan, whom our boys will miss terribly. They had such a blast together all weekend. We did too! :) David & Jenn were so much fun ( & helpful too! ). Bella got sick, so we needed an extra hand or two to get ready for the big party.

Noah wanted a "Reptile Party" more than anything (even more than Disneyland!) He & his brothers loved holding the snakes, lizards & turtles....even the humongous ones!

I made this snake cake for my 3 little dudes :) It wasn't Sam, Mack or Noah, but the girls at the party that fought over who got to eat the head! Ewww!

Noah's birthday is tomorrow & I can't believe how fast 7 years has gone by. He seems so grown up sometimes & other times...he's still just my first baby!

Yah, I know...

another kid post. There's just not much else around here that's worth posting. The kids are definetely the most interesting people in this house! Here are a few new pics we took this afternoon for Sam & Mack's upcoming birthday, on the 24th. I know between now & then I'll be soooooo busy, that I'm just going to post the pics now! It's also my Mom's birthday the same day :) I was scheduled to be induced on the 25th, but I guess they wanted to share Grandma's birthday. They are HUGE Grandma fans!

You two boys have brought a whole new level of craziness to our lives! You have also brought an enormous amount of humor, delight & love. Sam wanted to know the other day why the book I was pasting pictures into was all about Isabella? It was her baby book, and I told him there's a whole book about him too. He was so excited, so I got out Sam & Mack's baby books & we looked through them. There are pages of pictures of the two of them getting into the fridge when they were barely old enough to walk, pictures of them locked inside their crib's with tents because they would climb out, and many pictures of them amidst huge messes with smiles on their faces! The adventure continues....thankfully!

Birthday-palooza

I was taking some pictures of Bella today to celebrate her 5 month birthday!!! I remember just sitting there taking pictures of the boys all the time, but I have been so busy since I've had Bella, I haven't taken many pics of her. It was fun...we just sat on my bed, while the boys were shopping with Daddy & snapped a bunch of cute pictures. She was very cooperative. I also realized today that if I lay her down in her bed, she'll cry for a few minutes & fall asleep. I have been spoiling her so much, I hadn't really tried that yet! She's such a good girl!

The boys got birthday gifts in the mail today from Aunt Gayle Sue. Sam & Mack watched Noah open his & they went "I want Star Wars" with whiney voices. As soon as Len showed them their own Star Wars gifts they went from whiney to happy screams in less than 1 second. I guess it's not just Bella's that's spoiled! Geez! They are loving their new gifts though. They play Star Wars & Legos ALL DAY. They play with the Star Wars characters like girls play with Barbies! This is the kind of stuff I hear while they're playing..."Hi, what's your name?" (as they hold up their figures next to each other. "I'm Anakin. I''m a good guy!" "Want to go for a ride in my Millenium Falcon?" "I love you Obi Nobi!". My favorite was this morning, when I heard Sam say "Hi Mom", to which I answered "Hi" back, but Sam looked at me and said "Not you. My droid Mom" & held up a droid figure! It's hilarious to listen to them! It takes me back! They never get sick of it!

It's going to be a fun month of constant Birthday celebrations! By the way, Noah is wearing a hat that he made himself! He's very excited about it!

what the...

I had an interesting experience today...I took Sam & Mack to Burger King for lunch & to play, while Noah was snowboarding. As I was trying to get their food ready for them, while holding Bella, a lady asked me if I needed help. This happens almost daily to me because I must look like a looney taking 3 or 4 children out to shop, but I'm usually really fine & always decline politely & go on my way. This lady said "no, really I'm just sitting here while my son plays & I'd love to hold your baby." So, against by better judgement, I hand over my precious baby. She was right near me & I kept a close eye on her. Her son was playing cute with Sam & Mack and she talked to me about her neice, who is the same age as Bella. After a while, I went & took Bella back saying that I needed to get going. She then asked me where I was going. Weird. I said I was just going to the grocery store just across the parking lot & she offered to keep an eye on my kids while I grocery shopped. What the %*&!... Even weirder. I'm sure she was a nice lady just trying to help or a baby junkie who needed a fix, but it still struck me as bizarre. I mean, she was a total stranger. I feel like I'm a polite person, who tries to help people out, but I would never ask anyone that. I packed up all the kids & ran to a far away grocery store as fast as I could.

My #1 fan! Sometimes this little squirt won't sleep during the day, so I strap her into a snugli & go about doing my stuff. I'll look down & there's my little Bella staring up at me smiling! It's so amazing! She is so into me! Ditto- I could eat her up!

This is our funny Sam fishing in the window well with his snowboard helmet on! This is something totally normal for Sam to think of doing! He's very creative & imaginative! We don't ever get bored of watching what he comes up with next. He's totally mellowed out recently too. He's becoming a big kid now!

Mack is the loviest, most affectionate, cuddly, kissy pooh kind of kid ever! He is constantly saying "I love you" to everyone. In church on Sunday the lady in front of us was laughing so hard because Mack asked me to hold Bella & when I let him he was saying "Oh, you're so cute... hi sweetheart... Cutie pie...." in his little kid version of baby talk! It was adorable.
Too bad he's also the biggest whiner ever! We're just trying to focus on the positive though!

This is Noah's big passion right now. He's a Wii addict! He asks us to play it non-stop, even though he knows the rules are that he can only play on the weekend. If we ever compliment him on something or thank him- he'll always try to slip in "does that mean I get to play W- I- I"? He spells it thinking Sam & Mack won't know what he's talking about (but they do- they just spell it too). I still remember when he was our little baby & now he's such a great big brother.
